You can delete your Alively account and the health data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do it from inside the app, and how to request deletion if you can no longer sign in.
1. Deleting your account in the app
If you can still sign in to the Alively app, this is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately:
- Open the Alively app and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no separate confirmation step by email — once you confirm in the app, your account and its data are removed.
2. If you no longer have access to the app
You can still request deletion if you have uninstalled Alively, or if you have left the employer that provided your access and can no longer sign in. Email support@alively.com and tell us you want your Alively account deleted.
You do not need to write from your old work address — we understand that is often the address you have lost. Please include the email address your Alively account was registered under, so we can identify the right account.
Because this data includes health information, we are likely to request evidence of your identity before acting, so that your personal data is not disclosed to, or deleted by, anyone other than you.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes your Alively profile and the data held against it, including:
- Your name, email address, and profile details.
- Your assessment responses, including responses about sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, and social connection.
- Your health and fitness metrics, and any history derived from them.
- Any data synced from a connected wearable, and the connection to that wearable.
- Your check-ins, habit logs, reminders, and any photos or audio you added.
- Your sign-in credentials.
4. What your employer can and cannot see
Alively is provided to you through your employer, but your individual health data is not visible to them. Employer-facing reporting shows only aggregate, anonymized figures.
Deleting your Alively account does not affect any records your employer holds about you directly, such as HR or payroll records. Those are held by your employer under their own privacy notice, and you would need to contact them about those.
5. How long it takes
Deleting your account in the app takes effect immediately.
If you email us instead, we will first confirm that you are the account holder. Once we have, we delete your data within 30 days.
For fuller detail on how we handle personal data, see our platform privacy & security notice.
